I am just awful

at updating this thing.

But! Since I have an abundance of time (read: an irrational hatred of doing homework in a timely manner) I figured I might try to fix that:

1. Back at school for my last semester of my college career. Everyone around me is deeply saddened by this, saying they'll miss the days of being care-free and jobless, going to school ( Read more... )

Must be so annoying to be that close to graduation. You're just itching to start your life aren't you? I know I would be.

I'm so excited for you and your year in Korea. You're gonna have a blast, and I expect loooong emails about it! :D I want pictures and boy updates!

And don't worry, you'll do fine without your family. A year goes by sooo fast, believe me, and it's not like you won't see them again. You're gonna be busy making a bunch of new friends and discovering Soul anyway. :)

YES I AM. I'm very ready to be done with my college experience.

DUDE YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT IT CONSTANTLY. Our ridiculous emails will get even more ridiculous. I'll be that creeper tourist that takes pictures of attractive men on the streets...those pictures will probably get attached to the emails T___T

This is true! Your encouragement is very helpful :) What would I do without you, Nina?!

I EXPECT THOSE EMAILS! WITH THOSE PICTURES!

I'm not sure what you would do without me, but I wouldn't survive class with sy without you. XD

OMG I would be lost without you bb. Who else would listen to my nonsensical, Inspector Gadget-related boy stories?! And I love your SY updates, they make my day.

OMG... You and I are on like the EXACT same timeline. This is so weird. LOL I'm graduating in May and I'm going to Korea in Sept or October!!

I can't wait to leave either. Then again, I worked all through college and I lived at home, so I didn't have the campus life. I'm ready to get out there, and yeah like you said, become 100% adult and independent. :)

SERIOUSLY!? Haha that's insane. Where do you want to end up in Korea? I'd like to be in a Seoul suburb, like Bucheon or something. But I'm not picky :)

Did you like living at home? I'm really envious of you for that...I mean, I think I would've missed some things but I love living with my family. Still, campus life isn't that great (if the drunk people hooting outside my crappy house that refuses to retain heat for any extended period of time are any indicator.)

Well, when I leave this fall, it's going to be for fun and travel. I'm still trying to figure out where I want to stay, but in Seoul for sure. I'm planning on going back in early 2011 to teach and then I want to still be in Seoul probably, but I wouldn't mind being in a more suburban, less city-like community. Idk, a big reason for me going in the fall is to scope out the country and figure out where I wouldn't mind living for a long period of time or if I would even be able to live there at all! I've found companies recruiting teachers for Seoul and for more rural areas, but I don't think I would make it in a country-type town. We'll see ( ... )

I think that sounds like an amazing plan. I wish I could afford to go before commiting to a year contract but unfortunately I don't have the time or money...kind of a huge leap of faith but I'm hoping it pays off. I think that rural areas would be hard because you'd be one of the only foreigners there...I mean, you go abroad to meet new people and see new things but at the same time if the language barrier is an issue it might be nice to know people who are in the same boat as you.

I'm close with my family as well so I really envy you for being able to spend so much time with them. The commute sounds brutal but it sounds like you take it in stride :D What sort of job do you have? I work part-time at my university's law school and they only have one student worker in office at a time so I haven't been able to meet many people :/

Haha I know, right? It's been awhile.

I'm planning on teaching there for a year, though if I like it I'll stay longer. I'm hoping this time goes by quickly because I'm very excited. And wow, two more years?! I hope you're enjoying college :D

Haha it's a good example of how one can be a winner and a loser at the same time...
