I haven't been cursed since the day I kept talking to people like I was addressing letters to them. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Gren. How's that song going?

[OOC: Tags will likely be a bit slow this afternoon. Apologies in advance.]

Remind me not to play pool against you for high stakes any more. I'm good, but you're even better.

You want to hear it? It's just about done.

The stakes were your idea. I couldn't shy away from a good challenge.

A preview? I'm interested.

I know they were my suggestion. So if I ever get any more brilliant ideas, please. Remind me about this, not that I ever mind writing songs for you. It's only my pride that hurts.

I'd give you more than a preview, but I had a little detour. Something about being handcuffed to someone else all day makes it hard to be creative with music.

In the past, I've known a nice dinner -- on someone else's bill, of course -- to help with wounded pride.

I'm not surprised. Especially, I assume, when it's involuntary.

Better get used to the idea of being barefooted. It's a good thing it's summer.

I would miss my boots, but I think I could adjust.

Some rural tribes never, ever wear shoes. Isn't that snazzy?

Even Mars has a few perpetually barefoot tribes if you know where to look.

I can respect that. But I wouldn't do it myself.
