Comics get away with things that "serious" novels can't. For instance, I can't imagine Warren Ellis sitting down and writing a full-length novel. By the time he was done, it'd be so full of anger and nastiness that nobody would ever publish it. But in a comic it's easier to mix that in with just the right touch of sweetness, and it's acceptable.

There's maybe two. I'll have to see if I can track them down. I sure hope there up on the web still. I'm sure they are, but you know, sites change, blah, blah, blah.

I've read this several times and never tire of it. You don't even need to see the movie to love this story.
