TW won 'Best' Actor' and 'Favorite Character!' Thoroughly deserved IMO. :-) I love that he's been consistently winning these two awards for a while now. It validates in part my opinion that no matter what the ensemble nature of the show, TW ultimately drives this ship and that most viewers tune in for Clark, and his journey. I wish the writers and producers could see this as clearly as well. In any case, congrats to TW (who won with a whopping 65%, 4947 votes). And I couldn't be happier as a Clark fan to see him winning 'Favorite Character.'
Speaking of which, Lois came in second this year in this category. This came as bit of a shock to me to be honest. Not because I don't like Lois. I do. But rather because she was in such few episodes last season. That said I do think she was written, on the whole, quite strongly in S8, and these results probably reflect that. Most of the eps she was in, she had a significant part to play. And this is what made the difference I think, as opposed to earlier seasons where even with one ep more her appeaerances would be largely wasted.
ED also won 'Best Actress', which I agree with too. AM is fine actor and CF made a tremendous debut, but ED IMO has consistently been growing more and more capable each season and I'm glad she was given her due here. She isn't often. She handled both comedy ('Plastique', 'Instinct', 'Committed', 'Hex', 'Stiletto') and dramatic ('Toxic', 'Infamous', 'Doomsday') well last season. She won with 50%, 3606 of the votes.
'Best Guest Star' went to KK, with 20%, 1006 of the votes. I love KK. But I hated her appearances as Lana last season, so I'm afraid I can't agree with this. I do think KK mostly did a great job though, with whatever she had.
'Best Episode' went to 'Legion. I'm not surprised. This wasn't my favorite by any means of last season, but it was a quintissentially fanboy ep, so I can see its appeal even if I don't completely agree.
'Worst Episode' votes went to 'Power.' I figured something from this middle arc would make it.
'Biggest What-the-Heck' moment went to the fiasco that was the not!jimmy debacle. Rightfully so.
'Best Scene' was the Lois/Blur one from 'Stiletto.' While very lovely, I can't agree with this. I suppose this comes down majorly to personal preference because I preferred Clark' super leap from 'Hex' or his jumping off the plane with Tess in 'Turbulence', etc. Or perhaps most of all, the closing montage from 'Bride.'
'Best Couple' was no surprise to me. Clark/Lois with 63%, of the votes. Despite the Lana arc, S8 in large part did significantly amp up the Clois dynamic. So I think this is a deserved win. Clark/Chloe and Clark/Lana both came in with 11%.
Other results are in too.
