I was even happier with this episode - sure Chloe's earlier scenes irked but that last one between them redeemed her a lot for me. It's in Clark's nature to own up to his mistakes, but Chloe does so here in her own non verbal way IMO.
As for wanting more Metallo, I'd love to see him return at the middle-end of the season, perhaps seaking vengeance on Zod and/or LuthorCorp for creating him. I thought this was a great set up and BAG did a great job, as did Tom with their confrontation.

I'd like that too. And I agree, both the actors were fantastic in the confrontation scene.
//I think it's not only a Superman them, but one that applies to all superheroes. There are countless of moral questions and implications when it comes to characters like these, and the challenge in differentiating themselves from the bad guys.//
Oh, absolutely. It's a running thematoc issue in comics. This ep wove this theme in here quite skilfully.
And you have a point about Corben, heh. Perhaps it's better to let the character go out on a high note, so to speak. He might not resonate as much later. I just feel like if it was slightly more`extended arc - 3, 4 eps maybe? That would've been ieal.
I hated that we had Clark apologizing yet again, and nada from Chloe. I also fear that this might be it now, in terms of Clark ever getting to verbalize to Chloe how badly she contributed in shaking his faith in humanity last season.
That's an important issue, for me, and one that won't allow me to enjoy any Chlark or Clollie escenes this season. Chloe, Oliver and the JL should apologize to Clark but instead we get Clark apologizing and the blame being put on him once again. I just don't understand it and it really infuriates me.
It's really the kind of thing that even though I suppose we should be used to by now - given this shows track record, we're not. Because it isn't easy, and so very annoying.
It also helped dispell IMO a fear I had early on that Lois would be shown to be the only link holding Clark back to humanity Mine, too. Clearly, Lois is important but she's not the only thing keeping him around. The confirmation of this canonically was a relief.
I hated that we had Clark apologizing yet again, and nada from Chloe Don't get me started... Also, Chloe snooping in Lois' computer? Really? After Chloe's had meltdowns over people doing the same to her? That bothered me a lot, not because of the snooping, but the blatant hypocrisy they're making Chloe show. I know they're forcing her down the "wrong" path and all, but gah. That bugged.
A confusing aspect of the ep for me, was obviously the end. Just who is the naked man in the symbol? I can pretty much guarantee you will never guess. And since you're spoiler free, I'm not telling. :)
And if we're talking my highlights of the ep, I have to mention the shot of Clark up on the roof using his super!hearing. Such an iconic moment.
That was really beautifully shot.
I forgot to mention it in my review, but I was happy to see the show not looking cheap again, for a 2nd week in a row. It seems to me that they may have figured out a better way to manage the budget. We even seem to have more extras roaming around.
And Dr Hamilton' reaction to Clark' whooshing in to the room was priceless.
I totally loved that! I so want to keep this guy around. His droll delivery is so much fun.
So what didn't float my boat all that much? Well, for starters I hated the term 'sidekick' that was bandied about, wrt Lois. I think not only was it silly of her to deem herself as such to the Blur, because she should realize being an investigative reporeter does not automatically guarantee you hero duty competence, but I also think generally speaking, the term should just never be used by a `writer wrt a character like Lois Lane. Big fat

Dammit! Heh, but yes, I am firmly off the spoiler bandwagon now. Though your hint intrigues and tempts me, woman. ;-)

It does seem to be that way, you're right.
//Chloe's hurt expression just seems unnecessary.//
Yeah, what was up with that?
//I'm still waiting for Dean Cain's Dr Knox to come back. I probably shouldn't hold my breath.//
Missed opportunities - thy name is SV. Heh.
