[Magic!]

Will is an Old One. The closest definition we get of this in his canon is 'not quite human.' Will is recognisable to other Old Ones, agents of the Dark and the avatars of Wild Magic. If your character is sensitive magically, there's a good chance Will will ping them. I'd appreciate it if you could give me a head's up -- the other thing is that what ( Read more... )

Buffy's got demon powers that I don't actually fully understand. But, yeah, definitely somehow demonic, so probably Dark? I dunno.

Anya shouldn't ping at all anymore, and, uh...Sohma? I dunno. They probably shouldn't ping either.

...Spider-Man uh. I don't know. Halp.

I think Peter's definitely Wild Magic. Well, you know. Wild anyway.

Hmm, if Peter and Spider-Man ping in the same way, I suppose he'd recognize they're the same?

That's very possible.

Chisame: uhhh, I'd say Wild, but her powers are pretty minor. This would be a barelyping.

Tomo: DOES NOT APPLY 8D

Greed: lol Dark. Daaaaark dark dark. His soul-equivalent is the product of human sacrifice and all.

Shirley: Light! The power of Nerifes/the Sea in Legendia is the opposing element of Dark, so her powers are basically holy.

Asuna: We don't really know yet, but my guess is Wild. Same canon as Chisame, much more powerful. However the NATURE of her powers, although she can use some magic, is primarily anti-magical--she's immune to it and messes up certain magical things in her proximity.

Mikuru: DOES NOT APPLY

Chao: Uh. . . . Chao and magic is complicated, she has no inherent power as a mage, but she's been rendered capable of using magic by a method that I think would be considered Dark.

Haru: DOES NOT APPLY

... I've got four characters who have powers that I have no idea how you'll want them to ping.

Kaza = touch clairvoyant ... we don't know where the powers come from

Rue = Wraeththu ... uh... good/evil depends on the person using them. Rue's a nice har.

Shika = manipulates shadows and general ninja-ness ... I have no idea how that'd ping if it did.

Roxy = child of the genfactor ... she's a gravity manip. I don't know how to describe it all.

If you want to ask questions to figure it out for yourself, i'll be glad to answer as best I can. I just don't know your canon so I can't compare.

I think all of yours would fall under wild, but they're different enough that Will would probably realise they're nothing to do with how he sees magic. Thanks! These categories are pretty generic anyway -- and it won't take long for Will to realise there's more going on in camp.

...I'm not sure what "dead" counts as. I defer to castmates or more knowledgeable people for Hisoka and Wakaba \o/;

Akane is perfectly normal.

Cecile has a minor rune, which...I guess would be Wild (help help canonmates)? But it isn't very powerful so any pinging would be small. She uses it for fighting.

Fakir proooobably wouldn't ping, because I have no idea what his power counts as. H-help ;;

Dead probably falls under Wild -- but I'm not sure Will will realise what it means. Cecile and Fakir seem to make sense -- and don't worry about it! This is just while Will starts out, before he realises that magic doesn't work the same way it does back home.

Il Palazzo is psychic, not magical, but he is still like BLACKNESS at MIDNIGHT eating DARK CHOCOLATE after forgetting to pay his POWER BILL.

The others shouldn't ping at all.
