Will is an Old One. The closest definition we get of this in his canon is 'not quite human.' Will is recognisable to other Old Ones, agents of the Dark and the avatars of Wild Magic. If your character is sensitive magically, there's a good chance Will will ping them. I'd appreciate it if you could give me a head's up -- the other thing is that what ( Read more... )

Yuma is dead and has the powers that come with it. I defer to my YnM castmates on this--I think they said Wild?

Thomas is completely normal.

Albert should also be completely normal unless Will can recognize that he's used magic to summon the demon of Chaos. There's probably still something there, contract or bond or whatever, aaaand...the demon likes slaughter and all, but is of a force. So I dunno if that's Wild or Dark.

Seth's power seems like something Dark. But it's not magic, it's sciencey alien nanomachines. H-help.

Hellboy has the Dark running through him, but...not totally, shall we say? Touched, for sure.

...Yuriev has been bad touched by the what's either the Light or the Wild Power of his cannon, shall we say. And is crazy because of it.

...let's see. Mitsuru was granted his powers by the gatekeeper of a world he's visited. While the powers themselves aren't dark- for the most part- consisting largely of elemental things (fire, ice, wind) and the ability to make constructs (golems out of pretty much anything), he can also summon creatures, among which is a creature of the underworld that is made of nightmares and eats souls. Also, he has done so pretty nasty things with them, so if that pings at all? I'd say Dark. If not, then Wild.

Jak is, hands down, the most complicated one to put in a fold. Let me see how brief I can be here... Eco is the natural force in Jak's universe, like the Force. Essentially the building blocks of existance as far as we know it. Dark Eco is destructive and seems to have addictive properties/makes the user turn hateful, angry and destructive, Light Eco makes them deadly calm, 'above emotions' sort off. They can also manipulate and control the very fabric of reality. The way I play it, these two forces 'cancel' each other out: Jak will most likely feel 'Wild' unless he explicitly draws upon Dark or Light. If Will actually looks for it he'll find both Light and Dark, but if he just 'skimsearches' Jak, he'll just find Wild. My elf is complicated.

Vergil is definitely easier. DAAAAAAARKNESSS! God it's Darkness like you wouldn't believe. EVIL WILL ROBINSON EVIL etc etc.

Brook is faint traces of Wild. The Devil Fruits are hinted as to being magic in nature after all, and everyone who'se aten one should have some of it's 'scent' on ( ... )

Lina Inverse is a pretty powerful sorceress and she focuses on on black magic, which summons power from high level mazoku, shamanism, which is mostly elemental in basis, and she knows a little bit of white magic for healing. Wild is probably the best way to categorize Lina's magic, but the dependence on dark lords for her high-level spells may bump her to Dark.
