I can knock quite a few people off that list just based on when they were born. The administration is not going to nominate someone who might retire or die anytime soon.

Honestly I think it will be either Alberto Gonzales or Miguel Estrada. They're young enough, ethinic enough, and right wing enough to be a perfect choice.

In reply to the second (possibly rhetorical) part of your comment, though I am conservative, I have always supported a more liberal judiciary. I think the worst thing that can happen to this country is to have a Supreme Court comprised almost entirely of right wing Republicans. I never seriously thought Bush would have the opportunity to appoint any justices. It has been hypothesized, but I never thought O'Connor or Rehnquist would step down now. The best we can hope for is that Rehnquist will not step down until after Janurary 20th, '09. The second best we can hope for is that the nominee, much like Rehnquist, will be a semi-Rhino.
