Sometimes when I think about life, Grant, I think of it more as a forging of our own path, rather than thinking of it as race. You really ought not to compete with others in the game of life because eventually you may realize the fruitlessness of working for such a low aim. Instead, keep forging ahead, and as long as you are passionate about what you are doing, or at least see the merit that it has beyond your own personal gain over others then I think you may find that the deadlines are naturally goals and that the race, well, becomes more of a magnificent tour.
I never really meant "race" as a race against other people (although, I suppose, that's a contradiction of terms. Stupid language misconceptions...) I meant it more as if it's just running through life to get somewhere.
