Yesterday was the Day of Tornadoes. Our sirens went off at least 5 times before I left work. Autauga county let their kids out at noon; you may have heard that the town of Enterprise, south of us, was going to close the schools at 1:00 - well, the tornado hit and eight kids were killed when the roof of the gym fell in ( Read more... )

I'd heard about the tornado and the school on the news. My heart went out to those families - you don't think your child will die while in school.

And I'm so sorry to hear about Mouse's death. I know how dearly I love my cats, and the thought of not having one of them around is painful.

The tornado is something too big for me to get my head around, but Mouse's loss makes me choke up.

Yes, the good ones always seem to have to leave early. Growing up I had an eeeevil half Siamese version of Hannibal Lechter. SHE lived to be 21. Go figure.
