I went for a long walk yesterday up through the backwoods with Sparta and listened to a lecture Foucault gave at Stanford c.1979 and all I can say to that is - genealogy is the west river and archeology is the picture of 5 teenagers posing in a grain field at the turn of the century I saw in a bookstore today

all the problems were talking about NOW are the same ones we were talking about in the Plaka 2500 years ago. so is the topic of conversation just that interesting/challenging? are were the greeks just 'that good.'
