I don't know where you are--or where you're going on your trip--but I highly recommend you look into Seatow (if you haven't already) which can give you and your family pretty much complete peace of mind if their service area corresponds to your itinerary.

Thanks. I do have a Seatow membership, but we are headed a bit further out and away, not commercial assistance towing is available where we are planning on cruising. I like the idea of the Spot because it will allow friends and relatives to view our location and progress on google maps.
