dave, I'm going to quote my former english teacher, who was probably quoting someone else at the time: "wow! you have the sensibility of a poet" (not sure whether there's supposed to be an element of surprise in there, seeing as it was scrawled on the bottom of a piece of paper)
I knew there was this side to you...ever since you told me that haiku you wrote, which was followed by me joking about how emo it was
but really, between all your layers of well articulated wit and rhetoric you have some really insightful things to say
ps. I want to hear more about your friend from pakistan!
Its the same old story its always been Tiff. Boy meets girl in Antipodean locale, boy loses girl when he returns to the other side of the world, boy gets girl back when he flies her out to Perth for a month at the end of the year.
welcome back. i expect news more immediately relevant to my ego-stroking existence anon. can it really be that you fell in (love) again? i hear your team snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
await with bated breath predicted 'bifurcation'. you'll make a wildly more interesting grown-up than a lost boy. miss you.

I've uploaded a photo of her from the day we went paddling in London's Hyde Park (so romantical!) http://thelastpossiblemoment.org/pictures/sabeen.jpg
