My Kindle arrived last night. I got the basic Kindle with the "special offers" and so far I'm not finding them intrusive at all. I like the page buttons on the side. They are easy and intuitive. It's lighter than I thought it would be. Learning from my son's experience, I bought a cover at the same time. The power button is a little harder to use
