It's like a game of sorts. Usually there is a theme...this one is focused on women of fandom. Everyone is sorted onto a team. The land comms I've joined have had 3-4 teams. The mods of the land comm post challenges...some are writing challenges, some are graphics, some are games such as solving a virtual jigsaw puzzle or doing a word search or identifying screen caps. You don't have to complete every challenge...most comms ask that you participate at least once every two weeks.

At the end of the phase (phases last approximately 2-3 months), the points are tallied and one of the teams wins the phase. Then it starts all over!

I think it's a lot of fun, and I've met some very nice people who are now f-listers. My graphics have improved dramatically as I was forced to really learn my way around Photoshop Elements. :) My very first land comm experience was tvrealm, and it appeared just when I needed a distraction from the anxiety I had over my daughter starting high school. It was so good to have something to focus on

Tempted. I'm in two land comms right now but I'm still waiting on the one to start. If they don't, I may join this. However, all must wait until after this dreaded finals week. I know once Covert Affairs starts, I'll want to make everything Annie. :)

Oh man, I miss Annie and Auggie! I just know the writers are toying with us and they are going to break our hearts in the first ep of the new season. :/

I know!!! I hope they give us a little A/A love before they break our hearts completely. I can't wait for the season to start though.
