Apple Lossless? You using a mac or something? I didn't know Macs can't play MP3 files.

No, I just use iTunes, and iTunes' lossless format is 'Apple Lossless' which is Wav quality, it's just zipped basicly.

Basicly i'm anal about the music quality and apple lossless gives me CD quality but at half the size...still like 20meg a song lol :p

Jesus. Personally I've never noticed much when it comes to sound quality, if i can hear the song without buzzing noises in the background I'm happy. I tend to use a program called Audacity to record audio off youtube when I can't find a song somewhere else. Of course it records ANY internal audio so you have to make sure you're not running anything else that makes sounds, then I save it as an MP3.

You need a LAME encoder (it's actually called that) or something to export files as MP3s but I've found it to be an incredibly useful program for some things.

Yeah I have one of those things but yeah i'm anal to the point that I do currently have the album 'Fire' as 160kbps AAC (Like MP3) but i'd reeeally like to have it in lossless.

I have one of these hooked up to a seperate amp and speakers in my lounge.
