Malfoy Manor: Draco's Birthday

There was bustling in the kitchen of Malfoy Manor, but with a human chef for the first time in its history. Not only was Mia putting the kitchen to its first good use in years, she was thoroughly enjoying doing so. Outside, all three Apparated to the outside gardens, just inside the gate.

Narcissa was giving a delighted coo at seeing the estate again, and Lucius was nodding approvingly as they walked toward the building. They seemed relaxed for the moment, relieved to see their home restored like it was to something of its former glory.

Hopefully they will like the inside of the estate, and the food. Mia, for simplicity's sake, waved her wand over to the cake so the nearby utensils will decorate it themselves.

She's setting out the tea and the places at the table so she can come around later with the filet mignon.

Mia's surprised it came out so good, as Draco was better at making it earlier that week.

She wipes the sweat from her brow with the back of her arm.

They approved of the inside, and all noses were twitching at the smells.

The parents knew it was partly because of Mia that they got the Manor back. Still it didn't stop the elder pair from stiffening up visibly at the sight of her.

Draco meanwhile strode over and bussed her cheek for a kiss, "Smells wonderful, darling."

"Oh, thank you, beloved," she says, turning her head for a proper kiss. "But you and your parents should be sitting in the dining room. I'll be there in a moment to serve tea. Everything should be finishing soon and I can let the magic take care of the rest."

Another quick kiss.

"And I have to freshen up a little. I don't know how much you like it when your wife looks like she's been working."

She gives a little wave to her in-laws.

"Go ahead to the dining room. I'll be there to serve tea momentarily."
