Malfoy Manor and London: First Christmas...

The walk up to Malfoy Manor was similar, if easier, than last year's. Only this time around, both Draco and Mia were taking turns carrying Cepheus and letting the baby try to take a step or two between them, all bundled up in his warm winter clothes. It was easy to say the charm and pass through the gates. He went back to keep by his family to help them along, gently nudging the peafowl making small sounds of annoyance at being moved.

Cepheus cooed, and made grabby motions toward the birds at times.

Lemia smiles and laughs as Cepheus reaches for the birds.

"And to think I was worried the peafowl and the baby might not get along last year," she comments.

Mia smiles, too, and takes Draco's hand in hers.

"I just hope he doesn't get too attached. He's sure to miss them dreadfully when we leave."

"Oh, he'll be fine," Lemia says. "He'll have plenty of fun to distract him, what with this Blue Star holiday going on. Christmas, right?"

"Yes, this one is Christmas," Mia answers. "The one with Father Christmas and his elves who make toys for good boys and girls."

Cepheus made a happy sound to this as he tried to grab a feather hovering.

Draco chuckled at him, and remarked, "Also a tree, decorations with lots of lights, and good food. It's quite a celebration usually. Halloween's bigger for us, but oh, Cepheus can play with Wizarding crackers now."

He added to Mia, "With our help of course. He can have one of the bigger toys."

"We might have to be careful with those," Mia points out. "I don't mind if he gets the bigger toys from it but aren't they awfully loud? He's not even ten months old yet."
