I too recently started running*. I've been pushing myself to try and go for longer periods of time. Right now I am able to do about 4 miles in 45 minutes, which I think is really good considering how horrendously out of shape I am.
I think what you're doing is crazy awesome, keep up the hard work and I know it'll pay off for ya!
*Note that I don't run really fast, so my running is probably a brisk walk/slow jog to some people.
thanks! I've been reading your journals about that stuff too, but I'm too lazy to post responses :p bleh have I ever been bad about that lately. Congrats to you, I can't run 4 miles :p I'm trying to work my way up but I don't really know how far I want to be able to go, I just want to be able to run for a while and not die.. heehee.. How are you aside from all that?
Gratz! I'm glad to see you're sticking with it. Takes a lot. I've been trying to do a little bit of exercise every day, crunches and whathaveyou, just to keep off the weight I've lost from just being in Japan. =) If I end up in the area, maybe we can go work out together, yeah? =D
thanks! it does take quite a bit but it gets easier as it becomes routine (thank god, I don't know if I'd have made it otherwise). And the more the merrier! That'd be pretty cool if you did end up down here.
