Pie!

To celebrate the inauguration, and to use up a butternut squash I've had sitting around since the holidays, I decided to make an Obama pie, in the style of Yes We Cake, especially this pie. And because we all know how much President Obama likes pie.

how does a butternut squash pie taste in comparison to a pumpkin or sweet potato pie?

Thanks! I thought it tasted pretty good too!

I've never tasted them side by side, but as far as I can tell, squash pie is more or less interchangeable with pumpkin pie (at least, the pumpkin that I make, not the filling-in-a-can stuff). I haven't tasted sweet potato pie (Northern girl here) but I'm guessing that would be different.

sweet potato is a little more earthy than pumpkin... i prefer pumpkin.

You're welcome! I love the 'how much' link too, but it seems to be broken, and even when I copy the url for the video it still comes back 'malformed'. So I've edited the post for a workaround. Or just look on google video for Obama pie!
