Updated living room media PC to Natty Narwhal. Got stuck at (get this) a "grub rescue>" prompt which accepted no commands. Way to go Ubuntu. Solution? Boot from CD, mount and chroot to the hard drive (be sure to get the correct device and partition, you remember that, right?) and the re-install grub. After 6 years of running Ubuntu releases, I definitely have a feel for which releases I want to skip. Natty is one of them. I'll wait for when Unity is mature (and probably use Gnome 3 anyway).

73% shade cloth. The structure is 30x30, in 10x10 sections.

Karla and I wanted some versatility, so we could set up as 10x10, 10x20, 20x20, 20x30, 30x30, or even get bigger in the future, but we wanted to minimize gaps overhead, so we got 4 pieces of the 73% shadecloth: one 10x10, two 10x20, and one 20x20.

We're hoping the shadecloth with not turn into as much of a sail, as a more opaque tarp, which I think is important at a 30x30 size.

Joel Scott has volunteered some snow camo to throw over the top of it all, which will also help a lot without turning into too much of a sail.

Aluminet is popular. You can find people all over eplaya who like it. It's not cheap though; almost 3 times as expensive as this:
