In this credit students learn about the fundamentals of some philosophies of the language and science during the 20th century from both a thematic and historic standpoint, insiting in the most generalistic problems that can be interesting for Humanists. The student is expected to learn about authors such as Frege, Russell, Moore, Wittgenstein, Austin, Quine a Grice, without forgetting the Philosophy of Science from a logic empirist standpoint such as the one expressed by Popper, Kuhn i Lakatos. In addition, the student is expected to be able to discuss about basic philosophical aspects related with the nature and understanding of science and language. This course is focused on theoric activities: understanding the course materials and discussing it in the virtual classroom forums.

If you didn't get a headache, consider yourself invited to hot chocolate :)
