It is an interesting car. I think these were sold in North America, but perhaps only in Canada? I remember a sedan version once in turquoise with a black vinyl top. I was a kid and it was parked somewhere. I remember the name 'Sunbeam' and thinking to myself WTF? The only Sunbeam I knew of at that time was the Tiger and Alpine sportscar.

In a sense, kind of reminds me of the very first gen Euro Escort when they first came out, rear wheel drive and all.
When the car went FWD in 1980 or so, that's when we got an Americanized version of it here.
OH, if you haven't, scroll back in my journal when you have a chance to last month, I did a review of the Fiat 500 and I think last week did a comparo of the Euro and N. American difference of the same car. :-)
