Námo steps from the shadows on the opposite side of the small clearing. He is dressed as he was when he sat on his throne in the Ring of Doom, pronouncing Melkor's release.

Black hair carefully braided, for he had taught Gorlim how to plait his hair correctly, hung with pale silver cord twined throughout. The plaits rest on the pillow of hair that had not been drawn back, providing more darkness for the silver to shine on.

The blue-black robe was veined with tiny silver embroidery that formed the pattern of ice crystals. Under the robe peeked the snowy white of his shirt, the collar and long sleeves that poked from under the robe decorated with tiny sapphire gems that caught the moonlight that could sneak around a stormcloud.

His lips form a soft smile as he looks at the proud warrior on top of his steed, then he steps a little further into their clearing. The moss was cool under his bare feet, but felt like thick carpet.

Gorlim swings off the horse and tosses the reins loosely over a branch to keep Rhofal from wandering too far.

He, too, steps onto the moss, grinning.

"I don't know how this is supposed to work," he confesses quietly.

He reaches for Gorlim's hand.

"We have made our own way thus far."

His eyes glance to the sky.

"What are the traditions in your culture?"

"I gave to my Captain a sword and an oath." He shines a lopsided smile. "You are not my Captain, and I have for you prettier than a sword, but our oath we make each other. Which is first?"

He chuckles quietly.

"The Elves invoke the name of my Father, then exchange their oath and rings."

Which meant... that was the extent of his ideas.

One culture he knew, or even paid attention to.
