My shiny Iphone is getting fixed/replaced. basically it stopped receiving calls. People would call me, they would hear my phone ring but I would never pick up. That is because my phone refused to acknowledge that a call was incoming unless I had used it within the last 2 minutes ( Read more... )

Let me know how that goes on - I am debating putting mine in for a new battery as mine tends to be flakey, but I just don't want to be without it for the 2 weeks. Stupid non user replaceable batteries. *cries*

But, were you using an old sim in your iphone? because if it wasn't a 3G sim that might have been most of your problem? *scratches head* I didn't think they'd even work with an old network sim in them.

Yes Amy says its only been the last couple of weeks it wasnt working.

You can get it replaced on the spot if your willing to go to the apple store in chadstone.

Ahhhh,

This is a known issue with the iPhone.

It happened to me after going to Cairns.

Whats happened to me (and other people) is "airplane mode" was being turned on without any visual notification. All I needed to do to fix it was toggle airplane mode, and the problem resolved itself.

Yeah but I did a factory reset of the damn thing and it was broken within 5 minutes again.
Meh, when I get it back I will keep that in mind for next time.
