L, I swear from now on I will remember I've asked (and asked and asked and asked (and asked)) and thus will no longer bug you about The Bloody Chamber. I'm fairly certain at least that Abby didn't eat it, but beyond that, who knows.

Yay for shelves full of books!

I also went through a huge Crichton/Clancy kick when I was a younger, though I haven't read anything by either one in years. I think the last Crichton I read was either Airframe or Timeline. Last Clancy was, I don't know, Executive Orders, maybe? I am thinking about checking out Pirate Latitudes, though I'm kind of torn on it, as Crichton probably didn't want it published (I think the manuscript was found on his computer after he died.)

The Adventures of Robin Hood is one of the greatest movies ever made.

Karate Kid! Cue me singing "You're the Best Around" extremely off-key.

Red October is definitely an awesome movie, I was recently reading Alec Baldwin's take on how he basically got screwed out of that role for further movies.....never seen any other Clancy movie adaptation and to me he is the only possible Jack Ryan. Also I live across the street from this tottering but entirely amiable old man named....Jack Ryan. I shoveled his walkway once, after a blizzard.
