Brit:

When you went to school, did they tell you anything about what kinds of jobs are available in animation, photography, web design, or the arts in general? I've been looking for things in the paper and online, but there doesn't seem to be much.

As you can see, *I* haven't been having the best of luck, but maybe I'm just not applying myself as much as I could in terms of looking for a job. Which I will now be doing hardcore, as I want to move out this year. :P

Quite a few of my classmates who graduated (or even didn't graduate but developed a good portfolio because of the course) DID find a job though. I think there are lots more opportunities outside of Winnipeg (specifically in areas like Vancouver or Toronto) but I don't think I want to move, at least not right now.

There's always the option of running your own business too. For photography anyways, there aren't too many places that will hire 'creative' photographers, that's pretty much a 'run-your-own-business' profession (though if you're into graphic design, it may still help you get a job).

So, I guess it's not the EASIEST profession to find a job in, but I think it is possible.

Hope that helped..
