Of course it is. That's the case for anything that's hard to do. As far as I'm concerned, it's still the only option.

Though if you only suspect that might be the case, you're better off talking to the person you have feelings for. Maybe they like you, too. Maybe they're shy, who knows.

Sometimes you just have to be bold, and come out and say what you feel. To get her...their attention.

I don't like sharing things like that either. But sometimes you need to.
