Magnify (second chances) [Luke 1:57-80]

Thanks for sharing Pastor. Two different perspectives and two different responses to similar messages. I like Mary too. You really bring out some very human qualities that come from study and "reading between the lines." I also conjecture that she listened with her eart when she was with the women and children in the synagogue. I think her parents had strong faith and it is likely that her dad and mom talked about faith and the Scriptures with her as she was growing up. The Word highlights the work of the Holy Spirit in her and that she was open to listening to God's message and ready to respond. I wish I was like that more often. Zech reminds me that no matter how long I am a believer, I still must be on guard against self, world and satan to fail my God and make the wrong choice to test God or respond to Him as my equal rather than as the Holy God who loves me and is for me. Dear Jesus, thank You for forgiving my Zech-ness and for the times when I please You by showing more Mary-likeness. Help me to stay on guard as I grow in ( ... )
