Bumper sticker on the car in front of me a few minutes ago: "Love doesn't claim possession but gives freedom". This. So very this. My entire being is organized around this so very fiercely that it doesn't even have words, just raw emotion.

Yesterday I had a glimpse into what I suspect my more introverted friends experience all the time. pondering a cat
We have wanted to add a cat to our household for years, but for various reasons we never did. Today, however, we just saw a mouse scurry across our kitchen, which we have decided might possibly be all the excuse we need. I still haven't found my old resume from fifteen years ago (which is the last time I was actively job hunting) *or* the contact information for some of the people I want to use for references. I did, however, get rid of an astounding amount of paper while I was searching through my (excessive) files, so I am going to declare this a productive day ( Read more... )
