Who was she kidding? She’d killed a man. Well technically the idea was all relative since she hadn’t pointed a gun to his head and shot him…but for all extensive purposes she felt responsible for his death. No matter how many times she apologized or drank herself into a stupor - he was always there. A haunting reminder of the past even Serena van der Woodsen couldn’t shake. The sins of her “glory days” were finally catching up with her and no matter what type of high class sneaker she bought, she still couldn’t run fast enough to get away.

Kissing Nate was like ridding a bike, even if you hadn’t done it in a while you found your groove after a few moments. Regardless of the fact that she was standing in the snow and freezing her ass off; Blair imagined she was as happy as she could be given the circumstances. Images of their past life together sprawled through her mind but were quickly haunted by memories of Chuck, the man who had brought about her sexual awakening only to leave her alone and bitter. She saw them together kissing and touching and her heart sank with despair.
