Unfilled prompts
Here's a list of unfilled prompts, just in case anyone feels like re-requesting these next time or on the comment fic meme, or if you're just looking for inspiration. The prompts are roughly listed by houses (or characters, because there are so many Stark-centric prompts), but obviously that doesn't always work out. I hope this is still somewhat clear.
Fic:
Older generation Starks/Stark family
- Ned/Ashara: their love story before the Robellion messes everything up.
- Ned/Catelyn being happy, enjoying their children, surviving in an AU. Anything with them (no angst between them please).
- Catelyn and/or Catelyn/Ned: let me die in my footsteps before I go down under the ground.
- Lyanna & Jon: assuming R+L=J, what was Lyanna thinking during her pregnancy? after Jon was born? when she died?
- Lyanna Stark lives and marries Robert, or marries Jamie Lannister, or Stannis or....something where we see her grown, maybe with children. (art of an older Lyanna would be great!) Bonus points if Catelyn and Lyanna are friends.
- Robert is in love with his best friend Ned, but that's never going to be acceptable so he transfers his affections to Lyanna.

- Jon/Sam, post-ADWD reunion. Your pick on how it happens or on how Jon survived.. well, that thing.
- Jon/Sam: the Wall's much too cold for one to sleep alone. They're both off watch for the evening, and Jon persuades Sam to sneak into his room. Just them being adorable/cuddling/having sex/drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows. Unless, of course, they don't have marshmallows on the Wall, then forget about that.
- Samwell and Alleras/Sarella: romance or smut would be awesome, but friendship would be swell, too.

- Lysa/Petyr/Catelyn: Riverrun days, when they were younger, adolescents, what it was like between the three of them, Petyr pining over Cat and Lysa pining over Petyr, jealous of her sister, or getting into her pregnancy, just something exploring the three of them in those days.
Lannisters
- Tyrion's life growing up next to the perfect twins.
- Bronn and Tyrion roaming about the countryside, enjoying their ridiculous bromance which may or may not include a brojob.
- After Joanna's death, Tywin meets Barristan and can't shake away the felling of how the knight's eyes and the eyes of his late wife are the same.
- Jaime/Cersei: modern day AU - the ways dynamics change or stay the same in a context that doesn't trap Cersei quite as much
- Jaime/Cersei: pre-books, either just before she got married or after. Jaime dealing with her marriage, “I fucked Jaime on the morning of my wedding,” Joffrey’s birth-all or any of those would work. Self-destructive, reckless behavior on Jaime’s part, and general mirroring themes.
- Jaime/Cersei: when they’re young is always good but preferably something as they start to grow disillusioned with each other, something that conveys their relationship as fucked up while still making clear how colossal their love is - even a Modern AU of everything splintering between them, I am so not picky with these two.
- Jaime/Loras: student/teacher AU.
- Jaime/Asha: Someone once said it’s a match made in snark heaven.
- Jaime/Robb: tell me who is the wolf, and who the lion.
- Jaime has finally gotten Sansa back to Winterfell, where he’s helping her rebuild more than just the keep- together they’re rebuilding each other too. Mutual understanding of loss+sexual tension+wine=SMUT.
Jaime/Brienne
- Jaime/Brienne: Yield.
- Jaime/Brienne: AU Jaime and Brienne are reluctant police partners on the case for a missing girl named Sansa, hate/love tension.
- Jaime/Brienne. He dreamed of her in ASOS, and in AFFC she was dreaming of him pretty much all the time. With all this dreaming going on on both parts, some of that has to come true at some point. Bonus points if among some of that there's that dream Brienne has in AFFC where Jaime wraps the rainbow cloak around her shoulders.
- Brienne/Ser Hyle: MODERN DAY BUDDY COP AU! Go crazy with this :D
- Zombie apocalypse! (At any point in the books/show you'd like for it happening.) While mostly everyone was busy with their petty issues about the Iron Throne, the Others start wreaking havoc. Feel free to include any character from the preferred list above/that is known to have Valyrian steel weapons. (I'd die for Jaime & Brienne going into a let's-kill-a-bunch-of-Others-together spree, the Sand Snakes teaming up for zombie slaying, or Asha axing zombies left and right, or Tormund being a pro zombie slayer) but whatever you want is okay.) Bonus points if the Others get to King's Landing and eat at least a couple of people that underestimated the warnings before.
Post-ADWD fic
- ADWD spoilers: Jon doesn't die (you pick how - he's Azor Ahai, Ghost freed himself and tore through the crowd before he could die for real, no preferences) and before he can leave for Winterfell (since he's set on going), turns out that Ramsay's letter was mostly bullshit, that Stannis won the battle and that he has sent Asha/Theon/Jeyne to the Wall because it's probably safer for them there. What happens? As long as Theon doesn't die, anything goes. Bonus points for Tormund guest-starring.
- The 24 hours following the events at the Wall in Jon's last ADWD chapter.
- How you imagine the aftermath of ADWD: the Wall and/or the battle of Winterfell.
Baratheons
- Robert, Stannis, (cameo by BB!Renly) and their parents: Family time/what were Steffon Baratheon and Cassana Estermont like as parents/people before their untimely end?
- Robert interacts with Rhaegar at the Tourney of Harrenhal.
- AU: When Jon Arryn and Stannis went to look for Robert's bastards, they found one of Stannis'. (Gendry is Stannis', not Robert's.)
- Stannis and Renly interacting. I'd like to see this in King's Landing during Robert's reign. Interaction with other council members/higher-ups is fine, but I'd like for the major focus to be on Stannis and Renly. Bonus points: Include a snarky comment from Renly about Stannis's relationship with Davos being awfully...close.
- something about all those years Stannis spent serving on Robert's council. Can be at any time between the rebellion and Stannis' retreat to Dragonstone pre-GoT. I'd just like to see him interact with the other characters in King's Landing: Robert, Jon Arryn, Tywin, Kevan, Cersei, Renly, Barristan, Selyse ... Please no Littlefinger and Varys, though, I can't stand them. Stannis' POV preferred.
- Melisandre/Stannis/Davos: the balancing act between the flames the rocks and the sea.
- Stannis/Davos: Explore the dynamic. Maybe a melancholic mood, bittersweet... a fair amount of UST.
- Stannis/Davos: "As you wish" meaning "I love you", Princess Bride style.
- Stannis/Davos: after the siege, building a fleet & conquering Dragonstone. How did Davos prove his worth? What did he do to gain Stannis' trust? Why did Stannis keep him close rather than just knight him and send him off to his new lands? focus on character interaction, please, I don't want three pages of them discussing war strategy. I just want to see how their relationship really started after the siege.
- Stannis with Davos or Jon, Napoleonic-era AU, as officers on an English man-of-war. Le angst and UST. Article 29 can be violated but don't forget they must be careful...
- Jon/Stannis: the balance of power.
- Stannis/Jon. futurefic: the war is over, Stannis rules the Seven Kingdoms, Jon is Lord Commander. Stannis returns to the Wall for some reason (maybe after a visit to Winterfell, or the wildlings are being trouble): either they rekindle a wartime affair, or they act for the first time on the desires they repressed during the war.
- Stannis/Sansa: Future fic. Stannis is king of Westeros, Sansa is his queen. Would prefer something bittersweet, angsty, tragic.
- AU for ACoK: what if Renly had bent the knee and joined forces with Stannis? Show me a different version of the conversation between Stannis, Renly and Catelyn, or Renly changing his mind and coming to see Stannis afterwards, or a meeting between Stannis, Renly and Robb to form a Stark&Baratheon alliance, or Stannis meeting Cersei and Tywin after conquering King's Landing. Or any other take on this scenario.
- Renly/Loras: modern politics AU: Renly is a young, smart, idealistic upstart candiate in the running in a campaign for senate and Loras is his old money/trust fund kid boyfriend and campaign manager, together they save the world! Bonus points for making use of Margaery (that is not as a beard) and Olenna in any way.
- Margaery/Renly/Loras: How the relationships actually function when Margaery is married to Renly, Margaery knowing all about her brother and Renly, her feelings of being in the position she’s in, the complex emotions involved, the three of them working towards putting Renly on the throne, basically anything exploring the dynamics between the three of them at Renly’s camp, whether it’s Margaery and Renly/Loras, or Margaery/Renly and Renly/Loras, or even threesome dynamics.
- Shireen Baratheon, Devan Seaworth, Edric Storm: The three of them being adorable together/little kid!crushes.
- Shireen Baratheon: a gen look at her life, with a focus on her interactions with Stannis, Edric, or Cressen. Would love to see Stannis awkwardly trying to be a good father to her with the help of Cressen and/or Davos.
Melisandre
- Melisandre: Something on her background. Where did she come from?
- Aeron and Melisandre meet, talk about their gods (more like bitch fight) and have hot sex. *Bonus for tentacle!sex*
Greyjoys
- Asha/Theon or Asha and Theon: ACOK AU: Theon goes with Asha when she tells him to flee Winterfell.
- Theon and Asha reclaim the Iron Isles.
- Theon being strong and competent on the Seastone Chair. Any eventuality where this happens. Could be speculative, after the events of ADWD (I understand this could be problematic, considering his arc arc arckity arc) or a total AU where he was never sent to Winterfell.
- Asha, Theon, and Jeyne: Post-ADwD. Asha takes revenge on the Boltons because she doesn’t know what else to do or how to help them. Platonic Theon and Jeyne, isolated by what they went through.
- Theon/Jeyne P.: There's nothing half so mortal as a grey goose feather. - Theon gets his revenge on the Boltons.
- Future!Theon Greyjoy along those lines “ - Nephew, do you still know the words?”

- [ADWD spoilers] Theon/Ramsay and/or Theon/Roose and/or Theon/Ramsay/Roose: What happened when Theon was first brought to the Dreadfort, before he degraded into Reek? I’d rather it focus on general creepiness and psychological mindgames than on flaying and gore.
- The Greyjoy brothers: Balon, Euron, Aeron, Victarion. A look at their lives growing up on Pyke and the dynamics between any combination of brothers. Slash and Greyjoycest are fine if they make an appearance.
Targaryens
- Drogo/Daenerys: you are the smell before the rain, you are the blood in my veins
- Viserys/Daenerys: I’m a mountain that has been moved / I’m a river that is all dried up / I’m an ocean nothing floats on / I’m a sky that nothing wants to fly in / I’m a sun that doesn’t burn hot / I’m a moon that never shows it’s face / I’m a mouth that doesn’t smile / I’m a word that no one ever wants to say.
- Dany and Viserys: interaction between them at some point before her marriage. Viserys’ descent into madness, why Dany still has sympathetic thoughts for him, storytelling/remembering their family.
- Victarion/Daenerys: " I do not have a gentle heart, ser."
Martells
- Gen Elia Martell-centric fic, focusing on her time in King’s Landing during her marriage to Rhaegar; how did she adjust to being away from Dorne and her family (I would love it if you explored the relationship between Elia and Oberyn in particular, even if he himself never makes any appearances), how did she get along with the people, what was her friendship with Ashara like, how hard was it to be Rhaegar’s wife, and her perspective on Rhaegar/Lyanna (you don’t have to answer all of these questions, this is just to get your brain going). Bonus points if you manage to include her interacting with Jon Connington in some capacity.
- Oberyn/Willas: either slash or friendship. I’ve been super intrigued by these two since I learned that Oberyn was responsible for accidentally crippling Willas in a tourney but Willas never held it against him and they two actually became unexpectedly close and keep in correspondence. I’d love fic about their friendship and how it developed, or what was written in those letters exchanged, or if Overyn ever came to visit. And if Oberyn ever tried to “make it up” to Willas in some way xD
- Arianne/Tyene: Arianne remains unmarried because she likes getting it on with her older cousins too much, but especially Tyene.
Other characters:
- Val/Jarl: she's the one he lives for. If you take this feel free to make it a little sad and achey, knowing what happens. Or just go crazy on the wilding sex.
- How Beric and Thoros' relationship develops leading the Brotherhood/ something focused around Beric's resurrections.
- Varys and Littlefinger form a very close alliance. (There's plenty of evidence eunuchs can have sexual relationships and desire!) Political pillow talk a bonus.

- Jaime/Cersei: modern day AU - the ways dynamics change or stay the same in a context that doesn't trap Cersei quite as much
- Jaime/Cersei: pre-books, either just before she got married or after. Jaime dealing with her marriage, “I fucked Jaime on the morning of my wedding,” Joffrey’s birth-all or any of those would work. Self-destructive, reckless behavior on Jaime’s part, and general mirroring themes.
- Jaime/Cersei: when they’re young is always good but preferably something as they start to grow disillusioned with each other, something that conveys their relationship as fucked up while still making clear how colossal their love is - even a Modern AU of everything splintering between them, I am so not picky with these two.
- Jaime/Loras: student/teacher AU.
- Jaime/Asha: Someone once said it’s a match made in snark heaven.
- Jaime/Robb: tell me who is the wolf, and who the lion.
- Jaime has finally gotten Sansa back to Winterfell, where he’s helping her rebuild more than just the keep- together they’re rebuilding each other too. Mutual understanding of loss+sexual tension+wine=SMUT.
Jaime/Brienne
- Jaime/Brienne: Yield.
- Jaime/Brienne: AU Jaime and Brienne are reluctant police partners on the case for a missing girl named Sansa, hate/love tension.
- Jaime/Brienne. He dreamed of her in ASOS, and in AFFC she was dreaming of him pretty much all the time. With all this dreaming going on on both parts, some of that has to come true at some point. Bonus points if among some of that there's that dream Brienne has in AFFC where Jaime wraps the rainbow cloak around her shoulders.
- Brienne/Ser Hyle: MODERN DAY BUDDY COP AU! Go crazy with this :D
- Zombie apocalypse! (At any point in the books/show you'd like for it happening.) While mostly everyone was busy with their petty issues about the Iron Throne, the Others start wreaking havoc. Feel free to include any character from the preferred list above/that is known to have Valyrian steel weapons. (I'd die for Jaime & Brienne going into a let's-kill-a-bunch-of-Others-together spree, the Sand Snakes teaming up for zombie slaying, or Asha axing zombies left and right, or Tormund being a pro zombie slayer) but whatever you want is okay.) Bonus points if the Others get to King's Landing and eat at least a couple of people that underestimated the warnings before.
Post-ADWD fic
- ADWD spoilers: Jon doesn't die (you pick how - he's Azor Ahai, Ghost freed himself and tore through the crowd before he could die for real, no preferences) and before he can leave for Winterfell (since he's set on going), turns out that Ramsay's letter was mostly bullshit, that Stannis won the battle and that he has sent Asha/Theon/Jeyne to the Wall because it's probably safer for them there. What happens? As long as Theon doesn't die, anything goes. Bonus points for Tormund guest-starring.
- The 24 hours following the events at the Wall in Jon's last ADWD chapter.
- How you imagine the aftermath of ADWD: the Wall and/or the battle of Winterfell.
Baratheons
- Robert, Stannis, (cameo by BB!Renly) and their parents: Family time/what were Steffon Baratheon and Cassana Estermont like as parents/people before their untimely end?
- Robert interacts with Rhaegar at the Tourney of Harrenhal.
- AU: When Jon Arryn and Stannis went to look for Robert's bastards, they found one of Stannis'. (Gendry is Stannis', not Robert's.)
- Stannis and Renly interacting. I'd like to see this in King's Landing during Robert's reign. Interaction with other council members/higher-ups is fine, but I'd like for the major focus to be on Stannis and Renly. Bonus points: Include a snarky comment from Renly about Stannis's relationship with Davos being awfully...close.
- something about all those years Stannis spent serving on Robert's council. Can be at any time between the rebellion and Stannis' retreat to Dragonstone pre-GoT. I'd just like to see him interact with the other characters in King's Landing: Robert, Jon Arryn, Tywin, Kevan, Cersei, Renly, Barristan, Selyse ... Please no Littlefinger and Varys, though, I can't stand them. Stannis' POV preferred.
- Melisandre/Stannis/Davos: the balancing act between the flames the rocks and the sea.
- Stannis/Davos: Explore the dynamic. Maybe a melancholic mood, bittersweet... a fair amount of UST.
- Stannis/Davos: "As you wish" meaning "I love you", Princess Bride style.
- Stannis/Davos: after the siege, building a fleet & conquering Dragonstone. How did Davos prove his worth? What did he do to gain Stannis' trust? Why did Stannis keep him close rather than just knight him and send him off to his new lands? focus on character interaction, please, I don't want three pages of them discussing war strategy. I just want to see how their relationship really started after the siege.
- Stannis with Davos or Jon, Napoleonic-era AU, as officers on an English man-of-war. Le angst and UST. Article 29 can be violated but don't forget they must be careful...
- Jon/Stannis: the balance of power.
- Stannis/Jon. futurefic: the war is over, Stannis rules the Seven Kingdoms, Jon is Lord Commander. Stannis returns to the Wall for some reason (maybe after a visit to Winterfell, or the wildlings are being trouble): either they rekindle a wartime affair, or they act for the first time on the desires they repressed during the war.
- Stannis/Sansa: Future fic. Stannis is king of Westeros, Sansa is his queen. Would prefer something bittersweet, angsty, tragic.
- AU for ACoK: what if Renly had bent the knee and joined forces with Stannis? Show me a different version of the conversation between Stannis, Renly and Catelyn, or Renly changing his mind and coming to see Stannis afterwards, or a meeting between Stannis, Renly and Robb to form a Stark&Baratheon alliance, or Stannis meeting Cersei and Tywin after conquering King's Landing. Or any other take on this scenario.
- Renly/Loras: modern politics AU: Renly is a young, smart, idealistic upstart candiate in the running in a campaign for senate and Loras is his old money/trust fund kid boyfriend and campaign manager, together they save the world! Bonus points for making use of Margaery (that is not as a beard) and Olenna in any way.
- Margaery/Renly/Loras: How the relationships actually function when Margaery is married to Renly, Margaery knowing all about her brother and Renly, her feelings of being in the position she’s in, the complex emotions involved, the three of them working towards putting Renly on the throne, basically anything exploring the dynamics between the three of them at Renly’s camp, whether it’s Margaery and Renly/Loras, or Margaery/Renly and Renly/Loras, or even threesome dynamics.
- Shireen Baratheon, Devan Seaworth, Edric Storm: The three of them being adorable together/little kid!crushes.
- Shireen Baratheon: a gen look at her life, with a focus on her interactions with Stannis, Edric, or Cressen. Would love to see Stannis awkwardly trying to be a good father to her with the help of Cressen and/or Davos.
Melisandre
- Melisandre: Something on her background. Where did she come from?
- Aeron and Melisandre meet, talk about their gods (more like bitch fight) and have hot sex. *Bonus for tentacle!sex*
Greyjoys
- Asha/Theon or Asha and Theon: ACOK AU: Theon goes with Asha when she tells him to flee Winterfell.
- Theon and Asha reclaim the Iron Isles.
- Theon being strong and competent on the Seastone Chair. Any eventuality where this happens. Could be speculative, after the events of ADWD (I understand this could be problematic, considering his arc arc arckity arc) or a total AU where he was never sent to Winterfell.
- Asha, Theon, and Jeyne: Post-ADwD. Asha takes revenge on the Boltons because she doesn’t know what else to do or how to help them. Platonic Theon and Jeyne, isolated by what they went through.
- Theon/Jeyne P.: There's nothing half so mortal as a grey goose feather. - Theon gets his revenge on the Boltons.
- Future!Theon Greyjoy along those lines “ - Nephew, do you still know the words?”
“ - What is dead may never die,” Theon said, remembering. ” but rises again, harder and stronger.” Bonus if you do add Aeron Damphair in there :).
- [ADWD spoilers] Theon/Ramsay and/or Theon/Roose and/or Theon/Ramsay/Roose: What happened when Theon was first brought to the Dreadfort, before he degraded into Reek? I’d rather it focus on general creepiness and psychological mindgames than on flaying and gore.
- The Greyjoy brothers: Balon, Euron, Aeron, Victarion. A look at their lives growing up on Pyke and the dynamics between any combination of brothers. Slash and Greyjoycest are fine if they make an appearance.
Targaryens
- Drogo/Daenerys: you are the smell before the rain, you are the blood in my veins
- Viserys/Daenerys: I’m a mountain that has been moved / I’m a river that is all dried up / I’m an ocean nothing floats on / I’m a sky that nothing wants to fly in / I’m a sun that doesn’t burn hot / I’m a moon that never shows it’s face / I’m a mouth that doesn’t smile / I’m a word that no one ever wants to say.
- Dany and Viserys: interaction between them at some point before her marriage. Viserys’ descent into madness, why Dany still has sympathetic thoughts for him, storytelling/remembering their family.
- Victarion/Daenerys: " I do not have a gentle heart, ser."
Martells
- Gen Elia Martell-centric fic, focusing on her time in King’s Landing during her marriage to Rhaegar; how did she adjust to being away from Dorne and her family (I would love it if you explored the relationship between Elia and Oberyn in particular, even if he himself never makes any appearances), how did she get along with the people, what was her friendship with Ashara like, how hard was it to be Rhaegar’s wife, and her perspective on Rhaegar/Lyanna (you don’t have to answer all of these questions, this is just to get your brain going). Bonus points if you manage to include her interacting with Jon Connington in some capacity.
- Oberyn/Willas: either slash or friendship. I’ve been super intrigued by these two since I learned that Oberyn was responsible for accidentally crippling Willas in a tourney but Willas never held it against him and they two actually became unexpectedly close and keep in correspondence. I’d love fic about their friendship and how it developed, or what was written in those letters exchanged, or if Overyn ever came to visit. And if Oberyn ever tried to “make it up” to Willas in some way xD
- Arianne/Tyene: Arianne remains unmarried because she likes getting it on with her older cousins too much, but especially Tyene.
Other characters:
- Val/Jarl: she's the one he lives for. If you take this feel free to make it a little sad and achey, knowing what happens. Or just go crazy on the wilding sex.
- How Beric and Thoros' relationship develops leading the Brotherhood/ something focused around Beric's resurrections.
- Varys and Littlefinger form a very close alliance. (There's plenty of evidence eunuchs can have sexual relationships and desire!) Political pillow talk a bonus.
Art:
- Osha and Bran at the heartwood.
- Wildlings and/or the Others. Some kind of creepy haunted forest scene.
