[Sarah Jane has been going through the network most of the morning, being in turns horrified, amused, worried. Mostly, though horrified. Not just at the content of the entries, but at her own lack of response to the majority of them.]If that's what the Animus are capable of, we need to work much harder to get ourselves out of here than we have ( Read more... )

[Oh no you don't, Jack Harkness.]

Telling me not to worry about my friends is a good as telling a Slitheen to ignore profit. Come and talk to me, Jack.

If you're going to worry about anyone, worry about the Doctor. He did more than I did.

I'll worry about you both. You aren't made of stone, Jack.

[Sarah Jane gets a pause at first.]

...you're right. But the problem remains--what hasn't been tried? People have been trapped here for more than three years.

What has been tried? I'm relatively new, so I don't know what's been attempted. And my PCD only shows things that have happened since my arrival, not before. Has anyone kept records of all the attempts and information gathered thus far about the nature of Adstringendum, or is it just floating about piecemeal?

Talk to Raven. She has documents regarding it.

As far as I know there have been several expeditions to the Inner City, one of which I assisted in, most of which were fruitless--in the way of escaping. It seems they were useful enough for gathering knowledge, though. The Wastes seem to go on endlessly, so that's a dead end.

Thank you; that's good to know.

If you were able to gather information about this place, its history, or the Animus, then it was definitely worthwhile. Escape won't come easy, I'm sure - not with time and space so warped here - but there must be a way, and we will find it.

[That information about the Wastes, though, is helpful.]

Has anyone found that if they go on long enough, they end up back at the city walls? Or is there no discernible end, like a sort of recursive loop? Does the scenery repeat itself if you go on long enough in one direction?
