As far as I know there have been several expeditions to the Inner City, one of which I assisted in, most of which were fruitless--in the way of escaping. It seems they were useful enough for gathering knowledge, though. The Wastes seem to go on endlessly, so that's a dead end.

If you were able to gather information about this place, its history, or the Animus, then it was definitely worthwhile. Escape won't come easy, I'm sure - not with time and space so warped here - but there must be a way, and we will find it.

Has anyone found that if they go on long enough, they end up back at the city walls? Or is there no discernible end, like a sort of recursive loop? Does the scenery repeat itself if you go on long enough in one direction?
