The deadline is today. Unless we've agreed on an extension, you should send in your fic/art by the end of the day. If you need a few more days to finish your work, please let me know. If, for whatever reason, you won't be able to finish your fic/art at all, tell me as well so I can find a pinch-hitter

It's going to take me a few more days to finish my fic, thus continuing my horrible streak at making these deadlines. But I won't disappear, I can guarantee that. I should have it to you by the end of the week at the latest!

btw, since I know you're from Germany, a big congrats to your country's football team for winning the World Cup! I was in Germany during the 2008 Euro cup and was amazed at how excited literally EVERYone was about football and at how many German flags were flying around. One of my favorite souvenirs from the trip was a Germany flag that you could attach to a car window, not like that's of much use here in the US where I live. But still ;). In the US most people's reaction to the World Cup is: "We have a national team? Really?" Okay, that might be a bit on an exaggeration, but we don't really seem to get united as a nation behind any sports team; it's the pro and college teams that get all the love.

And thanks again! Football is really a big deal over here, and we've come second and third so often in major tournaments over the last ... idk, more than a decade, so it's just a huge relief that we finally won again. :D
