Baby Go Bang

Goddamn.

I'm a mom, in case you didn't know. -rolls eyes- And I do love Samuel Mason to piees. It's just...

HE DRIVES ME ABSOLUTELY BAT-SHIT INSANE SOMETIMES.

I'm not just talking about the usual bouncing off the walls crazy hyper-baby stuff. I mean stomache knotted in a huge clump of worry and anxiety. I cannot take my eyes off of him for more than thirty-five seconds. Because he will have climbed up onto the table, escaped through the doggy-door,

OR,

gone digging in the recycled can box and started sucking on my gpa-in-laws empty fucking BEER cans. D:

And you know, I expected this. But he's supposed to be safe in his little booster seat/highchair type thing; he usually is. HOWEVER, today when I put him in and buckled him up so I can make him a sandwhich without having to worry about dropping a knife on his head, he pushed away from the table, even though he knows better.

Not normally a problem, as the chair just scootches along the floor. But whoever tiled the kitchen floor before my husband's family moved in must have been drunk, or something, because the spaces in between the tiles are HUGE, even if they are filled with grout, and very, very uneven.

So the chair legs caught on one of these spaces and promptly fell over backwards. So Sam was scared out his mind and cried for half-an-hour, and I held him and shushed him and tried my best not to puke everywhere, BECAUSE THAT WAS FUCKING TERRIFYING.

It's like everytime he falls over, I am too fucking far away to actually do anything to prevent it or even catch him. I didn't think about stuff like this when I was huge, pregnant and having sappy daydreams about motherhood.

Fuck.
