Bodyswitch: Birthday Blues

Well, he had achieved cigarettes, though Ronon's desire to smoke them was pretty low. Hell, the entirety of his being felt low. A part of him even felt like pouting, though he was pretty sure this face wasn't quite capable. Well, maybe a little. Ronon had looked at himself in the mirror in one of the washrooms a good long while, just staring at ( Read more... )

"Now you're just fucking teasing me."

She was almost (almost) getting used to hearing everything she said in Brendan's accent. She stood in the kitchen doorway, with her arms folded across Brendan's chest, and watched her body sitting at the table. There was that familiar feeling, that warm, fluttering tightness in the pit of her stomach.

She looked harder from the outside than she did in the mirror. She looked colder, too.

At first, Ronon thought he was hearing things, then looked over unblinkingly at the sound of the voice. Yeah, Brendan. No, Eden. The body seemed to have several reactions at once. First, there was some sort of feeling that felt like happiness, then annoyance, then an odd sort of acceptance.

The Eden part of him seemed to both like and dislike Brendan's presence, but with himself in there, any dislike was quickly overruled. It was a familiar face to say the least, and both parts of him seemed to be in need of that. Even if it wasn't actually Brendan in there.

Despite wanting to only offer a simple greeting, Ronon quirked his brow ever so slightly, the cigarette sticking stubbornly to his lips, even as he spoke. "I didn't realize I was putting on a show."

"Work it, girl," says Eden, the corner of her mouth quirking. "Show me what you've got. And for the love of God, give me a cigarette. I take it you found my stash?"

She rubs her hand over her jaw. She's going to have to shave sooner or later. Maybe she'll put up with it and let Brendan do it. She walks into the kitchen and hooks the chair opposite Ronon and sits down.

"Rough ride."

Ronon couldn't help but to furrow his brow at the sound of Brendan's voice saying 'work it, girl', because it just seemed kind of wrong. Especially directed at him of all people. Even if he was a woman at the moment.

Shifting to reach into his pocket, Ronon pulled out a couple cigarettes and put them on the table when Eden approached. He hadn't smoked any of them. The closest he'd got was the one in his mouth, and that one seemed insistent on staying there untouched. "Yeah," he said, his voice not as husky as he would've liked. He missed himself.

But still, at least Brendan was here, in some form, and Ronon raised his gaze to look at him again. He couldn't help but to be struck by how attractive Brendan seemed just then. The scruff definitely wasn't helping, but at least the thought of sex was tamer than when he had run into Sheppard's body. "You're really attractive."
