So, Clint had never actually managed to get around to apologizing for the weird weekend they'd spent together, and Kitty had pointed out that maybe Clint's phone messages had gotten people worried, so Clint decided to oh-so-casually stroll by Bruce's office to see if he was taking visitors.
On the rolling chair from his own office, like you do.
"Hey, is the doctor in?" he asked, knocking on the doorframe.
Maybe Bruce should have gotten around to returning some calls after all. Seeing Barton alive and walking around was a relief for several reasons, but this conversation was bound to be hellish.
"Hey, Barton," he said, just a fraction of a second before he actually looked up. "Back already, huh?"
