Sims 3: Evans Family part 2
Still playing Sims 3, I'm surprised every time I get the urge to play. It's been so long. I'm really enjoying the Evans family so far, even though I've had some issues. I still haven't been able to recover the missing ghost child, Zelina, so I'm officially pronouncing her MIA/KIA. She's still growing, wherever she is.
Last time we left off with Max Evans getting bit by Mandy to join her legion of the undead. Unfortunately for Max and Mandy she died soon afterwards. It was all Max's fault for keeping her outside for so long.
And like any good vampire, he had to mourn her death forever! (and be all emo and deep/sad)! For at least 4 Sim days, if I remember correctly.
Soon after Mandy's death Max himself crossed over to the other side.. of the undead dead...
The way that the vampire overlay for the eyes doesn't rest right on the iris makes them look even creepier...
and of course... Can we say cliche.

Oh, totally random but I completely got Max's parent wrong in the last post. His mom married the French sim after having had Max. This is Max's dad, Chad Luck, who can be found in Starlite Shores (the town that comes with Showtime).
He's the quintessential romance sim; hates kids, commitment issues ect. That's why Xenia never married him.

One thing that's really cool about Vampires in Sims 3 is that they can gain skills so quickly at night. Which is a great benefit since they can only go out and do stuff at night.
I also think it's cute how they have little bats swirling around the skill bar. :D
Max doesn't mourn Mandy for too much longer. He soon sets his sight on that creepy bug eyed girl that works with him.
Until I see the zombie biting interaction in person, I think this is the creepiest biting.
She seems to enjoy it though.
But it turns out she's with someone. So what's a guy to do? Well, woo her over to him and ask her to break up with her boyfriend. Once she does break up with him (in turn making him your nemesis), he then proceeds to dump her because she's too argumentative and doesn't want too Woo-Hoo with him on their first date. Yes, this is what a modern day vamp does.

So after the death of Mandy and the total failure of getting the Bug-Eyed Girl, Max finally hits it off with 1st rescue victim Kerry. Whenever a firefighter saves a sim or puts out a fire they always call him to thank him, well Kerry took this a step further and was ALWAYS calling and showing up wherever Max was.
Finally after a whole sim week of stalking, Max gave in and asked her out on a date and by the end of the night she had moved in, got herself engaged and reached her LTW of being rich. Yes, it was a good day for Kerry.
Being the party animal that Kerry is, I decided to throw her a bachelorette party. And she ended up getting not one but TWO strippers.
I love the mullet cuts on these guys!
When they came in all I could think of was...

No way I'm disco dancing
Nothing eventful happened for a while, just saving people and enjoying mom's cooking. Kerry was happy to live at home with Max's mom and step-dad. Soon they had a their first kid, Zell (don't ask).
Both Max and Kerry were vampires at this point, Zell was born with the gene.
Then things got interesting. My game started crapping out on me a little. Max was frozen in place for hours one sim day and I didn't realize it until it was too late. Of course he passed on, but luckily the option to bring him back came up and of course I did that ASAP.
While he was a ghost I had him drink the Vampire-B-Gone drink.
But it still left him as a heart pounding ghost. (No seriously, vampire ghosts make this thump-thump heartbeat sound and it gets annoying after a while.) This prompted me to find out if you can return a ghost to his natural sim state, without cheating.
Which led me to the ambrosia recipe. So I had Eugene (the step-dad) get the ingredients, he was the gardener/collector in the family, which luckily he did right before he died! Also lucky is that all his inventory stuff went to Xenia (the mom) and with her high cooking skills she was able to whip up a batch for Max.
Side note:
Before I returned him to the land of the fully living I had him impregnate Kerry and that is where ghost baby Zelina came from.
Soon after that Xenia passed to the great beyond too. I did bring her back for a while as a ghost but by then I had already had Zelina and it was just too many people to look after. Especially since Xenia was in the Acrobat career and I had to pay attention when her scheduled gigs time came up.
Kerry was cured of her vampire state, just in time to turn into an adult, which arrived with a midlife crisis. She spent the next 9 sim days running to the mirror to check for wrinkles, checking randomly through out the day. HAHA.
After his brush with death Max has become like.. super health nut! If I leave him alone for one minute he's lifting weight or something.
(Oh, and sims body really, really start changing the more they work out. Holy cow. I think I need to show a picture of Max without a shirt. He's huge!)
He still gets to enjoy the good stuff too.
So that's all I have for the Evans household for right now. Hope it was an interesting read. Sorry it was so long. I really haven't been taking that many pictures, just little snippets of their lives. I'm not looking to turn this into a legacy, with a story and everything. Just like to share the new (for me) things in Sims 3.
