Slaughterhouse-five is a surprising omission from your have-read list, to me.

I've read a lot of Vonnegut but they all sort of blur together in my mind so I left that one untouched because I couldn't rightly remember if it was one of the ones I'd read.

I have so few of those books. And a fair number of those books are very recent.

I have read:
American gods
A heartbreaking work of staggering genius
The prince
The curious incident of the dog in the night-time
Neverwhere
Slaughterhouse-five
Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance : an inquiry into values

I started but didn't finish:
Gravity's rainbow
One hundred years of solitude

I absolutely could not stand:
Catch-22
A confederacy of dunces

And I have but have not read On the road.

I listened to an unabridged audio book of Crime and Punishment on a road trip. It got us from Portland to Kansas City. We listened to music after that. I also listened to an abridged version of the Canterbury Tales and didn't really soak in any of it.

I thought that list was an interesting mix of very recent hotness and much older "I was supposed to read this for a literature class but hit the Cliffs Notes instead".

No Mrs. Dalloway? Do you need me to send you one of our three copies?

I don't think I've ever finished a whole book by Virginia Woolf. Clearly, I am a defective human being.

Who is this "Virginia Wolfe" person, anyway?
