I was just outside, studying and enjoying Portland's non-rainy pre-fall weather when the sprinklers came on. Bookmarks are for failures.
Think about it. The idea that bookmarks are mass-produced and that they actually SELL is baffling to me. Anything small and flat can double as a bookmark, including the pages of the book in need of marking. That's all I'm sayin'. -
A Fertile Future
So, I couldn't possibly be happier that I took this year off. I learned a huge amount about the temple, myself, people, and life. I'm now ready to learn as much as I possibly can. Hello, from off-the-mountain...
So, I'm in Connecticut at my dad's house... my macbook came in today-- very refreshing to have a laptop again. I think my most recent laptop died at least 2 years ago, maybe longer. So, Spring is springing, but we're still getting snow every few days up here in Yonder Mountains. It's seriously bumming me out. I have about one bowl left of the good stuff I got kicked down to me in December. I can't explain why, but I think that right now it's okay for me to just be stoned all the time. I think, I'm pretty sure, that I'm very unhappy with my life right now. I don't feel depressed. There is just nothing satisfying about my current situation. I have hope for a better life, but I'm afraid to grasp for it. I know I have a bright future ahead of me, but it's... well, ahead of me. So, in about 40 minutes I head off to the airport to catch a flight to L.A.... I'm a little nervious because I've never flown into LAX before and I've never flown into a giant airport before and I don't know the person who's supposed to pick me up, or what vehicle they'll be in, or anything about Los Angeles...
