After the first round of got_exchange we had a surprisingly successful comment fic meme going for a while (here's a list of all the fics that were written last time), so I thought it might be fun to do this again. (Like last time, it's posted on the mod account journal because I don't want to enable anonymous comments on the exchange community.)

I had no idea I wanted this. But it's utterly perfect and beautiful and I would totally be okay with this being canon. I LOVE your Lyanna, all wild and Northern and independent, and at the same time a scared little girl who is afraid that her brother will marry some Southern lady and not love her anymore, afraid of Rhaegar's attention that she never asked for. You just made Brandon/Lyanna so heartbreakingly beautiful, I can't help but ship it. And it's so sad, how he promises to keep her safe, but of course he can't ... Now I just want an AU in which they were happy. ;)

I'm rambling, but this is just wonderful. :D

AHHH THANK YOU. This has actually never crossed my mind which is part of why I love these fic memes so much, because I saw it and was like "y'know...I can see it." AND NOW I THINK I SHIP IT GUH.

I am glad you liked Lyanna, I was wary about attempting her! :D

I know, I love seeing all those prompts here (or during the exchange sign-ups). And you definitely made me ship Brandon/Lyanna. I usually ship Lyanna either with Robert or with Domeric, but I'll add Brandon to that list now. :D

KSDJFAS;DFA DROWNING IN MY FEEEEEEELINGS OMG ;_____; I DON'T FEEL LIKE I CAN ADEQUATELY EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS, BUT I DO SO MUCH, OMG. I meant to reply earlier to cheer this on but got distracted by fandom march madness BUT ACK SO MUCH LOVE.

I looove how you write Lyanna, wild and improper and unashamed and somewhat spoiled and jealous of Catelyn, but still just a young girl at heart, and her relationship with Brandon straddles the line between wrong and almost innocent and playful, like a by product of their wolf's blood (I loove how you work that in). I love how you write Brandon, and her show me what a real kiss is like line to him, BECAUSE OH LYANNA, SHE WOULD SAY THAT TO HIM (yeah I have headcanon for a character we've never met /o\)

AHHHH I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT! Just so you know I DID NOT SHIP THIS COUPLE BUT THANKS TO YOUR PROMPT I NOW TOTALLY DO.

I'm so glad you liked Lyanna! I was a bit nervous because we don't hear that much about her in canon and what we hear is idealized, and she was a real person and probably WAS a bit spoiled and selfish because she's the only girl and the baby of the family, but she's so YOUNG when so many awful things happen to herrrrrr. ;_;

I was debating at the end if Lyanna would even know about Brandon and her father dying, and HAD TO AT LEAST give her that peace, that Brandon tried to recover her, turned back from heading to his wedding because he LOVES HER BEST.

Thank you sooooo much for your wonderful comments, I'm so glad that you liked it, and thanks for giving me a new ship to wibble over!

Thank yooooooou!! That always made me so sad in canon, Robert asking why Ned buried her in the crypt and his saying that it was her place and that she WANTED TO COME HOME ;______; and it's like of course she wanted to come home to Winterfell and to BRANDON.

I totally ship this now.

Absolutely incredible. Oh my God. This is really a ship that I NEVER in a million YEARS thought I could get behind, but you've made a believer out of me. The wildness that Brandon and Lyanna see in each other, that they can't find in anyone else...and the constant connection to the idea of home...and of course, the ending with Ned....GUH. I'm dying over here.

Exquisite. Really.

Ahhhh, thank you so much!! It wasn't anything that I ever considered, either, but I thought the idea was interesting and I wanted to attempt it, and I'm SO glad that you thought it worked out! The prompt and thinking about the pairing kind of made me ship it, and I'm glad that I'm converting others to ship it, too, COME SIT WITH ME IN MY DARK SPECIAL CORNER THE LANNISTERS DON'T HAVE A MONOPOLY ON THIS STUFF. XD
