After the first round of got_exchange we had a surprisingly successful comment fic meme going for a while (here's a list of all the fics that were written last time), so I thought it might be fun to do this again. It began with an interrogation.
“Tell me about Robb Stark.”
Theon remembered a bright-haired boy who, instead of quailing under the weight of the crown, assumed the mantle with the resigned honor of his father. But before that, he had merely been a boy. A brother, almost. Maybe more than that, if awkward lingering glances and fumblings in the darkness counted for anything. To Theon, they no longer did, not that, if they were to meet again, Robb would do less than strike the head from his shoulders.
Just as his father would. Just as, perhaps, he deserved.
But he was Bolton’s man now, or at least he aspired to be, assuming that, if he were just useful enough, he might be more than a hostage come again. Not that Bolton would release him. But he might give him an occupation. He might call off the mad dog that he named his heir ( ... )

This is wonderful. I love Theon's thoughts about Robb, and Roose's creepy little laugh always makes me happy. I think what I love most here is the difference between disobeying Ramsay and disobeying Roose - Ramsay gets angry, Roose stays calm and just demands, and people give him what he wants because You Do Not Piss Off Roose Bolton. Oh, and cocky Theon who lets himself think for just a second that he still has some power was a great detail.
You're making me love Roose/Theon waaaay more than I should. That's a good thing.

I thought a lot about the Harrenhall Arya interactions when I wrote this. It's kind of the same situation, only more extreme.

You know, it's a good thing Arya was 8 years old in Harrenhall. If she had been a young woman at the time and not a little girl, I would ship Roose/Arya so hard ... House Creepy, what have you done to me. ;)

And likewise. I want to write teen Arya/Roose in Harrenhall. After all, who does he order to remove the leeches? I should stop now because I'm creeping myself out.
I can't write Arya though, so maybe it's a good thing.

It would be hot ... if she was older. As it is, it's the bad kind of creepy.
Me neither. It's all for the better, just like the fact that neither of us can draw and spam the world with ridiculous House Creepy doodles.

It would be hot if she were, as they say, a woman grown. and I'm considering writing this AU and I realize that I have a serious problem here.
