There is nothing but winter and I am as stone and ice; I woke with the scent of frost as that scorching summer at last crept back into the belly of its pissing god, redblooded R'hllor. No more sluggish sleep in the dark hollows of the earth; I walk with the wind on my face and hear the screaming beauty of ice forming across river and sea. The world is yet too hot, humid men leaking and voiding as they have always done. But Man's blood freezes in the snow, much like anything else; and after another storm it is covered, so there is only white. A colour of absence, sacred as the dark, and soon the world will be as blank as the Great Other intended. So I swear, as I am of frost and night.
