Some members liked the idea of having a kink meme/comment fic meme on got_exchange, especially since the other ASOIAF/GoT kink memes are fairly dead at the moment. (It's only posted on the mod account journal because I don't want anonymous comments on the exchange comm.)

OKAY, so I lied. I'm participating after all, even though I should be working on my other fic. xD This was written very quickly, so it's rushed and it kind of sucks. So, I hope someone else does this prompt, too. I was intrigued, I had an idea, and the rest is history. Unexplained things in this fic:  1) How the Stannis/Jon began, and 2) What the hell happened to Cotter Pyke

Now that I got that out of my system - woah, this is just awesome. :D It's so perfect - the closeness and affection between them, the unbalanced power dynamics (Jon being his superior, but Stannis being so much older and more experienced), how they both put their duties above their own personal wishes ... It's so -them-. Trust them to be apart even when they could actually be together. Idiots. ;)

Kissing him made Jon feel like a boy, and even moreso when they made love. Stannis was so strong, so controlled, so much a grown man....
This is so perfect. Makes me wish there was some smut for this verse, I'd love to see that. You feel like writing more? ;)

And I love Jon drooling at Stannis. ^^ The longing, the affection, the sadness, the little bit of Stannis' humour, Jon using Stannis' first name ... and that last sentence is tragic and heartbreaking and BOYS WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE HAPPY TOGETHER???

I KNOW, I COULDN'T RESIST THE STANNIS-FIC. I'm glad it reads well- I wrote it in about an hour, and my thoughts kept straying to breakfast. >.< I decided that I like this AU scenario, and I want to explore it further. I love the idea of Stannis interracting with Jon as a black brother/underling. SO different than King Stannis interracting with Lord Snow. And, this is a perfect way to deal with my slight Stannis-on-the-Wall obsession. I have a long car ride tomorrow, soI 'm sure I'll spend it fic-plotting.

I know how you feel. I'm supposed to finish another exchange fic, but instead I'm hanging around on this comment fic meme writing context-less Stannis/Davos porn and Kingsguard!Jon.

It's great. "Breakfast could wait, Stannis could not." - to quote Jon.
I love this AU scenario - Stannis taking the black in canon makes absolutely no sense to me, but I'm intrigued by Stannis taking the black in an AU in which he's not heir to the throne. Reversing power dynamics is always fun, and I take Stannis/Jon in any version. ;) In a way, Stannis would be the Hand to Lord Commander Jon - the experienced guy who helps to run things because the "king" can't do everything himself.
Yay for more fic-plotting. I'd love to see more of this verse from you. How it started, how they meet again after this, some smut even ... just about anything would make me happy. :D

I agree there's tons of problems with getting Stannis to the Wall. But once he's there, it just works so well! On your Kingsguard!Jon fill, someone mentioned that Stannis has a Northern mentality. I think it's that grim, duty-driven attitude that would make him a swell Watch brother. Thank god for AUs, eh?

I totally support more Kingsguard!Jon fic, by the way. xD

Might have been me, I'm always babbling about Stannis being a mixture of the best Stark and Baratheon qualities. AUs are awesome ... NW!Stannis, Kingsguard!Jon, Jon squiring for Stannis, so many possibilites ... ^^

I will be working on it asap. ^^ Kingsguard!Jon waking Stannis in the morning, or being with him when Stannis goes to bed ... guuuh.

Am I super lame for reading this, LOVING IT, and at the end the ONLY THOUGHT I could possibly process was "Cotter Pyke where u go?"

I had to read it twice to actually read the Stannis and Jon parts for what it was w/o being like, "COTTER PYKE MYSTERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"...

as to the Stannis/Jon (haha) I guess I will take a book out of everyone else's page and say "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

LOL Cotter Pyke. Sorry about that, he just disappeared into the aether. I wanted Stannis to have Eastwatch, given his affinity for naval battles. But I did worry about disappointing the Cotter Pyke fans. (I wonder how many horn blasts for brothers disappearing into thin air....)
