Well, it's not. I like the Enterprise. I don't want to change that even if I am horribly suspicious of some people's motives about it. You, however, hate this place and could change it, you just won't.

The fun part about destiny is that you it's either of your own making or it's someone else's fault, depending on the situation and your feelings about it. When I'm drunk and maudlin, I think the universe is out to get me because I'm a dramatic drunk and while sober and rational, I still think Kirks are destined to Captain starships but that doesn't mean I haven't worked to get there. I also think that the other Kirk's destiny was to go down alone with his ship and I will be damned if that happens to me.

Your destiny is not to spend the rest of your life on a supernatural Barge full of the criminally insane. That's the circumstances you ended up in. Which again, you can still change.
