A little while ago I attempted to fix the dishwasher.........It's not letting water in at all (don't blame it I hate washing up too). In the process I un-plumbed it to get at the inlet, when I plumbed it back in it had a slow leak which filled up a bucket of cleaning products under the sink and then started to overflow into the cupboard. This is why I avoid housework - it looks like a simple job and then once you start it becomes exponentially more complicated.
