Though I agree that hatred can often provide us with the energy and motivation to go forward and try new things, the concept of positive thinking has also suffered from some misunderstandings. Positive thinking is not about rolling over and allowing people to take adantage of you, that's ridiculous, what's positive about that? It's about being proactive, about accepting those things you can't change, and attempting to see things in a more positive light. Of course life isn't all pure and joyful and perfect, it never has been, and never will be, no matter your social class.
There is also a school of negative though that's decidedly middle-class, I'm sure you've met those that whine, bitch and moan about every tiny inconvenience in their day ("You mean I have to walk six blocks to the store?") and can't resolve the smallest of problems. Life breeds all sorts of attitudes, and you certainly can't blame being middle-class for everything.

Coca-Cola sponsors our college, and put up a bunch of vending machines. If they don't make enough from their vending machines, our tuition goes up.
