The near decade spent in this place had been less than kind to Nadine. She'd lost weight, though not too much, and there were lines on her face. Her light hair had more than its fair share of gray, probably because she hadn't been allowed dye or else hadn't cared to request it. At the moment, she was fighting against the sedatives, struggling to try and tell the nurse what had happened, but she kept being shushed, told not to worry. She was restrained, held to the bed, and her right hand was bandaged.
