"In here," she called from the kitchen. She appeared in the doorway between the two and smiled at him. "I thought that your table could actually get some use, rather than setting everything on the coffee table."
She walked into the living room and took Harvey's hand, kissing him lightly. When she pulled back, she smiled a bit again.
"That is why I have wine ready," she replied. She knew they had to be understanding. Major trauma was not going to be immediately gone once it was over. Even knowing that, though, didn't make it less frustrating. "I'll see if I can talk her into seeing someone."
"I tried that," he said. "She only wants to see Jonathan Crane. She--" Harvey shook his head, looking troubled. "I tried to explain to her that they were the same person...tried to remind her that he'd sent me fear gas and - that - whatever it was he sent to the office...tried to remind her of what he did to you...She just - refuses - or maybe just can't see it."
He looked off, not realizing he'd given himself away about the fear gas.
