It's weird when someone you've met dies and the public has one image in their mind of him from watching him on TV and another from reading about him in the press and then there's one of the versions of the real him - the interview version - when you meet him in person.

( I interviewed him in about 1997 - the year he was doing his chat show up there at the Pleasance - at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. )

Hi, I shall be staging a play I have written sometime this summer and am now assembling the cast and an actress is required.
